Vernon A. Springer

Vernon A. Springer is a highly respected Caribbean sports media executive, cricket administrator, broadcaster, analyst, coach, and sports marketing professional with more than 40 years of experience in regional sports development and cricket operations.

Originally from Saint Kitts and Nevis and now based in Antigua and Barbuda, Springer has established himself as one of the Caribbean's recognized voices and influential figures in sports media, cricket administration, athlete development, and sports leadership.

He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of VAS Sports Media, a company specializing in sports marketing, athlete promotion, media relations, event management, and strategic sports communications. Through his leadership, VAS Sports Media has contributed to the growth and visibility of Caribbean sports and athletes across multiple platforms.

Springer presently serves in Public Relations, Operations, and Sponsorship for the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and is also the Director of Operations at PointVille Communications Inc. He is widely known as the host of the popular sports program Pointe On De Streetz on the PointVille Broadcasting Network, which includes Pointe FM 99.1 FM and Pointe TV.

Throughout his career, Springer has combined sports administration with media expertise, becoming a recognizable cricket analyst and commentator associated with regional and international cricket broadcasts, including appearances connected to SportsMax and other Caribbean sports platforms.


His extensive involvement in cricket dates back to 1984, where he has served in numerous capacities including manager, coach, trainer, cricket operations executive, and tournament organizer. Springer has also held leadership roles within the Leeward Islands Cricket Board, contributing significantly to youth cricket development, women's cricket expansion, tournament operations, sponsorship acquisition, and athlete mentorship throughout the Caribbean.

A strong advocate for athlete discipline, leadership, and mental preparation, Springer has consistently promoted the importance of "Mind Power Training" and holistic athlete development within Caribbean cricket.

His professional qualifications include certifications in FIFA Sports Medicine, Commonwealth Caribbean Coaching, West Indies Cricket Board Advanced Coaching, WICB Level 2 Coaching, and Sports Training from the University of Canberra, Australia.

In recognition of his decades of contribution to Caribbean cricket and sports development, Springer was selected for induction into the Cricket Hall of Fame in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, honoring his impact in administration, broadcasting, coaching, commentary, and regional sports leadership.
