FOOT SA BEL 2026

Football, Regional Competition and Opportunities in Martinique

Young footballers and women's teams from across the region will come together in Martinique for the third edition of FOOT SA BEL, taking place from November 28 to December 6, 2026, at Stade Louis Achille in Fort-de-France.

Organised by the Sports, Leisure and Relaxation Association (SLD), led by President Fabrice Joblon, the tournament builds on two successful editions. Portsmouth Bombers Football Club and Goodwill Runners have been invited to participate, alongside teams from Martinique and neighbouring islands, including Guadeloupe, Dominica, Saint Maarten and Saint Lucia.

The event offers players an opportunity to compete against regional opposition, demonstrate their abilities and gain exposure to football representatives. Organisers have announced the participation of a professional player agent and a recruiter from Normandy.

Tournament Schedule

Competition will feature U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and women's teams, with group matches followed by knockout stages. The top two teams from each group will advance.

Category Tournament Date
U7 and U9 November 28, 2026

Opportunities Beyond the Tournament

According to the organisers, selected players will have the opportunity to attend professional training placements or trials with Sporting Club de Bastia and QRM in France during 2027.

The selection process will include a shortlist of candidates and physical assessments scheduled for February 15, 2027, at 6:00 p.m. at Dillon Stadium in Fort-de-France, supported by a sports medical team. Final selections will consider players' tournament performances and athletic results.

SLD states that it will cover airfare for selected players in the sponsored categories. A separate professional training opportunity is proposed for the best U17 player, at that player's own expense. Final category eligibility and travel arrangements remain subject to confirmation by the organisers.
