OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT

When we announced our original release date of July 31, 2026, our goal was to publish the inaugural edition of Student Athlete Focus Magazine before the start of the new academic year. As we approached publication, we made the decision to take a little more time—not because we couldn't publish, but because we wanted to ensure every page reflected the quality, professionalism, and purpose this project deserves.
We believe our student-athletes deserve nothing less.
We are therefore excited to announce that the official release date for the inaugural OECS Edition of Student Athlete Focus Magazine is:
Monday, August 10, 2026
This publication has been created to serve as the premier guide for student-athletes throughout the OECS during the 2026–2027 academic year. More than a magazine, it is a platform dedicated to helping young people navigate the journey from the classroom and the playing field to colleges, universities, scholarships, and careers around the world.
Student Athlete Focus Magazine will be published three times each year, with a new edition released at the beginning of every school term. Each issue will provide updated scholarship opportunities, recruitment insights, inspiring athlete stories, educational guidance, and the latest developments to help student-athletes and their families make informed decisions throughout the academic year.
Following its release, Student Athlete Focus Magazine will embark on an extensive school tour throughout the OECS, placing copies directly into the hands of student-athletes, coaches, educators, guidance counsellors, and parents.
Our international distribution strategy has also been carefully developed to ensure Caribbean talent reaches the people who can create opportunities. The magazine will be strategically distributed throughout the Midwest United States to an influential network that includes:
- NJCAA national leadership, including the President, Vice President for Marketing & Partnerships, and Communications Department.
- College presidents, trustees, commissioners, athletic directors, and admissions leaders across community colleges and universities.
- Basketball organizations, including state coaching associations and basketball museums.
- College recruiters, ESPN high school evaluators, international basketball evaluators, camp directors, and recruiting services.
- Sports media, including ESPN, television, radio, newspapers, and digital media outlets.
- Government and civic leaders, including municipal leadership and congressional offices.
- Sports tourism professionals, event organizers, multimedia executives, and community partners committed to expanding opportunities through sport.
This strategic distribution network ensures that the stories and achievements of Caribbean student-athletes are placed directly before the decision-makers who recruit talent, award scholarships, build partnerships, and create life-changing opportunities.
Our success will not be measured simply by the number of magazines distributed, but by the scholarships earned, partnerships formed, careers launched, and opportunities created for young people across the Caribbean.
To everyone who has supported this vision—our contributors, advertisers, partners, schools, coaches, families, and student-athletes—thank you for believing in what we are building together.
This is only the beginning. Our vision is to make Student Athlete Focus Magazine the Caribbean's leading student-athlete publication and a trusted resource that connects education, sport, and opportunity for generations to come.
The countdown has begun.
