Dominica's Bouyon Boyz Prepare for Final Nations League Matches in November

Dominica Set for Crucial November Concacaf Nations League Encounters
Bouyon Boyz to face Puerto Rico and Cayman Islands as League B Group A campaign approaches its conclusion
Dominica's Senior Men's National Football Team, affectionately known as the Bouyon Boyz, will return to action in November for their final two group-stage matches of the 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League.
The national team is scheduled to face Puerto Rico on Friday, November 13, before taking on the Cayman Islands on Tuesday, November 17. Both matches will kick off at 3:00 p.m. Dominica time at the Leonora National Track and Field Centre in Guyana.
These encounters represent another important opportunity for Dominica to demonstrate improvement, restore confidence and finish its League B Group A campaign on a positive note.

A Challenging Campaign
Dominica has endured a difficult Nations League campaign, beginning with a goalless draw against the Cayman Islands at Windsor Park Sports Stadium on September 24.
Three days later, the Bouyon Boyz suffered a 2–0 defeat against Puerto Rico, also on home soil.
The team subsequently travelled to Puerto Rico for two encounters against Guyana, where it experienced heavy defeats of 5–1 and 8–1.
Those results have highlighted areas requiring urgent attention, particularly defensive organisation, concentration, tactical discipline and the ability to compete consistently against stronger opposition.
However, the remaining fixtures provide an opportunity for the coaching staff and players to respond positively and demonstrate lessons learned from those earlier encounters.

More Than Just Results
For Dominica, the November matches must be viewed as more than an opportunity to collect points.
They represent another test of the country's football development, the preparation of its national players and the ability of the team to compete at the regional level.
The national team includes players who have progressed through domestic clubs, youth development programmes and overseas football opportunities. Their performances on the international stage provide an important measure of the country's footballing progress.
The challenge will be to translate individual ability into a more organised, competitive and disciplined collective performance.
Against Puerto Rico, Dominica will seek to improve on its previous encounter, particularly in maintaining possession, creating scoring opportunities and limiting defensive mistakes.
The Cayman Islands fixture presents another opportunity to build on the September goalless draw and pursue a positive result.
An Opportunity to Finish Strong
With two matches remaining, the Bouyon Boyz have an opportunity to demonstrate resilience, pride and commitment to representing the Nature Island.
While the results of the campaign have been disappointing, the response in November will be equally important.
For supporters, these matches offer another chance to rally behind the national team while recognising the importance of accountability, preparation and continued investment in football development.
The national badge carries the hopes of a nation, and every opportunity to wear it should be approached with determination, discipline and national pride.
As Dominica prepares for its final two Nations League encounters, the message is simple: finish stronger, compete with purpose and give the Dominican people performances they can be proud of.
