Team St. Kitts and Nevis is heading to Mexico to compete at the NACAC U18 & U23 Championships, scheduled for July 10–12, 2026, with four promising athletes set to represent the Federation on the regional stage.

Led by Coach Royston Queeley, the team enters the championships following a successful showing at the recently concluded ANOCES Championships. The NACAC competition will provide another important opportunity for the athletes to test themselves against some of the leading young track and field talent from across North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

The four-member team includes Khylinn Prentice, who will compete in the Under-18 women's 100 metres and 200 metres; Tejuan Webbe, who will contest the Under-23 men's 110-metre hurdles; Alexander Caines, who will represent the Federation in the Under-23 men's 800 metres; and Kaliyah Jones, who will compete in the Under-23 women's 400 metres.

For the athletes, participation at the NACAC Championships represents more than another competition. Regional championships provide young athletes with valuable international racing experience, exposure to higher levels of competition and an opportunity to measure their development against their peers from across the region.

These experiences can play an important role in the development of student-athletes seeking to progress through the regional and international athletics pathway. Strong performances at competitions such as NACAC can help athletes build their competitive profiles while gaining the experience required for future championships and other opportunities.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Athletics Association has extended its best wishes to the athletes and Coach Queeley ahead of the championships, expressing pride in their dedication and commitment.

As Team St. Kitts and Nevis takes to the track in Mexico, the four athletes will carry the hopes of the Federation while continuing their individual journeys in the sport.

The NACAC U18 & U23 Championships will run from July 10–12, bringing together emerging athletics talent from across the NACAC region.
